The Sam Grisman Project and Serene Green at TileWorks

The Sam Grisman Project and Serene Green at TileWorks

Sunday, September 29 · 2 – 6pm

The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works

130 East Swamp Road Doylestown, PA 18901

TileWorks is gearing up for another fun summer of bluegrass music. Grab some snack and refreshments, pull up a lawn chair, beach chair, or blanket and enjoy the show! Our final installment of Bluegrass at TileWorks 2024 features Sam Grisman Project and Serene Green. Read more about these great acts below.

The Sam Grisman Project

The Sam Grisman Project is the brainchild and passion of David Grisman’s son, Samson. A bass player and singer, and fan of David’s Dawg music and Jerry Garcia’s Dead music, Sam decided to form a band of hot young pickers to play this music out in the world. Choosing from the deep well of traditional and bluegrass music, Sam has been touring around for the last couple years with this tight little band, giving fans heartfelt versions of the songs they love. Sam was raised in California, and has spent quite a few years more recently in Nashville, and has created a band made up of hot-picking friends who also love this music. The love for the music can be felt every time they play. They offer live soundboards of their show on archive.org if you’d like to get a free taste. Sometimes playing electric, and sometimes playing acoustic, and oftentimes playing both, you never know what you will get until the show is complete. Switching from guitar, to mandolin, to keyboards or banjo or fiddle is par for the course. We are super excited to welcome The Sam Grisman Project to TileWorks for their debut performance in Doylestown at TileWorks.

Serene Green

Serene Green is a traditional bluegrass band from Southeast Pennsylvania. From their website: “Serene Green’s desire is to honor the traditional side of bluegrass demonstrated by the pioneers of the genre, while also showcasing it’s original compositions and uniqueness” As their growing number of fans can attest, they are satisfying this desire! The quintet plays and sings beautifully and have been playing more and more festivals all over the country. We are happy to have Serene Green back home for their third time at TileWorks.
