Stone House Antiques Center announces July 1, 2013 "Pre" opening and new management team
June 17, 2013, New Hope, PA - The new, multi-dealer Stone House Antiques Center in Mechanicsville, PA is announcing it a Pre- Opening on Saturday, June 29, 2013, with a Grand Opening event to be announced later.
Affiliated with the legendary People’s Store Antiques Center in nearby Lambertville, NJ, Stone House Antiques will become a premier destination for quality Antiques, Artifacts, Art and Vintage goods, including American, English, European, Asian, Mid Century Modern, Industrial Antiques, Architectural, Estate Jewelry, Folk Art, Vintage Clothing, Artifacts, Books, Lighting, and Art.
The facility has been extensively updated by it’s new owner, Opera Two Holdings LLC, for both customer convenience and dealer success, including showroom-quality display lighting, extensive video security systems, central air, and infrastructure. The facility has 11 light-filled manor rooms plus expansive first and second floor showrooms, all for display of antiques and related items, for a total of 7,000 SF. It also offers backup storage and operations in the basement level.
Although most of the space has been pre-leased to diverse, high-quality dealers, there are still a couple of select rooms available. The main showroom of 1,800 SF has been taken by Eduard Intven, a Netherlands-based collector-dealer of English and European antiques.
History
Stone House Antiques is named after the truly gracious main building, aka the Thomas Walton House, which dates to 1814, and which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Located on State Highway 413 in the Bucks County historic crossroads village of Mechanicsville, PA.
Management
The management of Stone House Antiques Center will include as General Manager, Jim Castelli, also General Manager of the affiliated People’s Store, Jim has extensive experience in business and antiques retail operations.
Castelli commented “It’s a perfect outlet for antiques dealers, as we provide the space, environment, and staff so they can continue to build their collections without the financial and operating concerns of their own store. For customers and designers and decorators, it’s one place to go to get ideas and interesting pieces for their projects. Pre-opening, there are still a couple of select rooms available, but we expect them to fill up quickly, when we open the facility”.
