Kathy Appel, ASID, is deeply passionate about interior design. She began her studies at Middle Bucks Vocational-Technical School, earning awards for both an internship with Bloomingdale’s and student achievement. She furthered her education at Spring Garden College and Moore College of Art and Design, and as a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), she is dedicated to ongoing education.

With 16 years of experience managing a large Interior Design and Home Furnishings Center, Kathy developed skills in merchandising, account management, and project oversight. She learned about product craftsmanship from industry experts and through visits to international showrooms.

Kathy’s notable projects include the Tyler Mansion and Fonthill Castle. She currently operates her boutique firm, Hearth & Hedgerow Ltd., with her husband, Ken, who specializes in landscaping and carpentry. Kathy is passionate about historic preservation and enjoys design styles from the Renaissance to Mid-Century Modern.
